Welcome to my blog - the inaugural post

So, I finally got around to starting this blog.  No pics yet - can't find the cable for my camera.  Hopefully it's still packed somewhere.....

For my friends and family who know me - you can skip this.  I started this blog to chronicle my journey in this new phase of my life as a forty-something single mom who has the priviledge of my daughter's presence 1/2 the time that I'm used to (but thankful none the less), renovating my home and moving to a country village.  Lots of changes in the last couple of months.

Despite the sarcasm, I'm loving living in the country - I'm surprised too.  Kinda wishing I'd done this sooner but everything in it's own time.

This is a tool for me to update friends and family as to what is going on in my life, provide some cathartic venting for me and just generally for sh*ts and giggles.  No product endorsement, yadda, yadda, yadda.

I've been reading some awesome blogs about gals (and couples) renoing their homes they purchased and just living life in general - they've made me laugh until I cried and inspired me.  I hope I can do the same for someone else out there.

Well, got to go for now.  This laptop and blog set-up has been 'blessed' enough for one night.
